NOVA HOOF SPRAY DD - against Digital Dermatitis

In close co-operation with a number of experts, Novadan has tested our new product NOVA HOOF SPRAY DD in connection with Digital Dermatitis. The eight cows included in the test all displayed symptoms of Digital Dermatitis. Two of them were lame and they all had aching hoofs and were walking on the tip of the hoofs affected.

NOVA HOOF DD SPRAY was tested during a period of 14 days. 8 cows with severe symptoms of Digital Dermatitis were included in the test - and at the end of the test period none of the cows were lame. Two of them showed no signs of Digital Dermatitis, four cows displayed faint symptoms but had no trouble walking on their hoofs, two cows still had swellings but also no problems when walking.

When the cow protects the sore hoof by not treading on it, the dirt is not removed naturally - but when treating the hoof with NOVA HOOF DD SPRAY, the cow will soon walk as usual and the dirt will again be removed naturally, thereby reducing the risk of renewed infection.
